Al developed analysis models that I reviewed via Azure DevOps and Visual Studio. I endorse him for his outstanding data analytics skills and business acumen. Al's deep business understanding helped him in this task. However, Al is more than a citizen data scientist. He solved data modelling challenges that experienced developers had been unable to solve. I have not before encountered someone with Al's passion and curiosity for data science.

Alastair is focussed on continuous improvement within the finance team, the organisation and himself. He cultivates and sustains productive working relationships by encouraging people to be involved and consulting with them in the decision making process. He shares information and works collaboratively with the team. He clearly communicates performance standards and gives positive feedback and recognition on a regular basis. He places people first and is considerate of the needs of individuals.

He provides direction to the team regarding the purpose and importance of their work and sets tasks that align with the strategic objectives of the organisation and communicates expected outcomes.

Alastair is highly respected by the finance team and senior managers for his technical skills, depth of knowledge of the organisation and professional conduct. He interacts well with senior management by offering considered advice and is willing to propose solutions to a broad range of issues. He is calm under pressure and rises to the occasion to deliver the required outcomes by taking personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work.
